A Broadside work table with devices and project material

Some things I've built.

Independent and Broadside work across sports tools, mobile and web apps, services, and product systems.

My current focus is building practical AI software and human-AI tools, shaped by years of product engineering work and current graduate study in artificial intelligence.

Dallas Mavericks coaching whiteboard app
DALLAS MAVERICKSCUSTOM TOOLS

A coaching platform for an NBA staff

I turned InfiniteHoops Whiteboard into a custom coaching platform for the Dallas Mavericks staff.

The work expanded a simple drawing tool into a private iPad workflow for storing plays, building multi-page sequences, replaying ideas, and distributing the app to Mavericks coaching staff iPads through Apple Business Manager.

SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC2016-2022 SEASONS

An official fan app for an MLS club

I worked on the official Seattle Sounders FC app across multiple seasons, from 2016 through 2022.

The app brought matchday information, news, video, rosters, standings, and voting into one supporter experience.

Personalized learning for bonsai practice

I built the iOS and Android apps and supporting web services for Mirai Mobile, a personalized bonsai learning product.

The product helps people follow species-specific guidance, track their trees, watch courses, and receive timely prompts for care and practice.

INFINITEHOOPSFOUNDER

Tools for pickup players and coaches

InfiniteHoops started as InfiniteHoops.com, a pickup basketball social network for finding games, organizing groups, and connecting with people who wanted to play.

From there I built a suite of basketball apps: Whiteboard for drawing and replaying plays, Practice for planning workouts, and Stats for keeping score, charting shots, and tracking games.

MINIMAL CALENDARiOS APP

A quieter calendar for iOS

I built the iOS app for Minimal Calendar, a focused calendar experience designed by Rationale.

The app supported everyday scheduling and event editing while staying deliberately reduced, clear, and calm.

EXPENSER AND NETWORKERiOS APPS

Small business tools from Broadside

Expenser was an automatic mileage tracker and expense report generator for freelancers, small business owners, and people who drive for work.

Networker was a personal CRM for tracking leads, contact details, follow-ups, and the history of conversations across a freelance or sales pipeline.

BROADSIDE DIGITALFOUNDER

A boutique software studio

I founded Broadside Digital more than ten years ago as a small product studio and used it as the home for client work, independent apps, and ideas that needed a real business behind them.

It has been the vehicle for much of the work here: a focused team shipping mobile apps, web products, internal tools, and long-running systems.

Focused product and platform work

I have also worked inside existing product teams on focused pieces of larger systems.

That includes a Carta integration at Vouch, Android work on the Dolly apps, front-end work on OpenDataNetwork.com for Socrata, now part of Tyler Technologies, and marketing infrastructure for Algorithmia before its acquisition by DataRobot.

I've also worked inside larger product teams.

Before Broadside, I worked on Microsoft productivity software, developer platforms, and marketplace mobile apps. Those teams taught me a lot about APIs, web engineering, mobile product work, and building software that holds up in real use.

Microsoft NetDocs, Outlook, and Outlook Web Access

Worked across NetDocs, Outlook, and Outlook Web Access as part of Microsoft's first Web Design Engineer cohort, an early web engineering role.

Myspace Developer Platform

Managed API work for a large consumer social developer platform, including OpenSocial APIs, integrations, and the systems behind third-party applications.

Taskrabbit and Dolly mobile apps

Led the Dolly consumer and helper apps, owning rapid product iterations and hands-on mobile engineering.

A few places that shaped how I build.

I have worked in big-company software, consumer internet, and marketplaces. I'm currently studying computer science with an AI specialization, after an earlier physics degree and math minor. Some of that shows up in how I build.

Have a product that needs thoughtful engineering?

I'm useful when a project needs someone who can understand the product, work well with designers and teams, make practical technical calls, and ship across mobile, web, and services. I'm especially useful where product judgment meets hands-on engineering across native apps, web frontends, and APIs.
